When will we be able to see specs and differences between these pumps and the Evo pumps? Not quite sure why one would choose these over the Evos.

I wouldn't say they are any better, both Evolution and Fluid Dynamics are good pumps.
Right now Evolution are out of all motors, and some wet ends. It looks like it might be a couple of months before they have the parts to start putting pumps out again.
A couple of years ago Craig and Mike, the two owners of Advantage Man. parted ways and Craig started his own company, Fluid Dynamics, and brought out his own line of pumps. About a year ago he sent me a Orion and a Calypso pumps to demo. I have been running these two pumps on my ponds since this spring and they have performed very well. Much quieter than the Evolution ES series pumps and as quiet as the ESM series pumps.
I haven't had the time to add the models, sizes, flow rates, power consumption, and prices to my web site but all numbers are comparable to the ESM series pumps.

If anyone is interested in one just give me a call and I can fill you in on all the specs.

Steve, I am in need of some of the information as well. Need the Amp. usage of the 450o so I can get the electrician to install the correct amp GFI breaker for the S'G upgrade I'm working on. BTW, It's coming together slowly but surely. Pump arrived Thursday and we start the filter housing slab this week.

Steve, can you get my pricing/info on the 4500 and 5500 versions so I can compare to the evolutions? I was going to buy evolution pumps in the spring but might get these now if they are power efficient. Can't pass up a free shipping deal on heavy pumps!

The specs and prices for the Calypso pumps are exactly the same as the Evolution ESM pumps. Same wattage, flow rates, and shipping weights.
I have two slightly used Calypso 8500's for sale also.

Thanks for the info. So do they have any disticnt advantage over the evolution pumps? I noticed in the first post you said these have the best warranty going. How long is it? It's going to be close to 4-5 months before I install them so I don't want to lose too much of my warranty with them sitting idle.

The official warranty is one year, but When Craig, the owner of Fluid Dynamics was at Evolution he would warranty any pump regardless of age, as long as the owner was willing to send it in. He assures me the same is true with his Fluid Dynamic pumps.
