      Low cost large pot stands

We started raising our ceramic pots on stands this year. Much easier to plant and take care of when you get older and also looks good. The large patio pavers were $1.99 and the smaller ones .99 at our local Menards on sale. I noticed this sale was repeated several times during the summer.

Great idea! I like how you can make them different heights that way. Looks very nice!

The small ones are 12" x 12" patio pavers and the big ones 16" x 16". They come in several colors so you can two tone the stand if you want. The thickness is 2". My sister did some in tan and dark brown that look nice.

I use the pavers but make the base out of 4 x 4's and a lag screw.

Wow, you all have some great ideas!

Now, do you have one for large inexpensive pots.

I think I have that same blue birdbath.
I like the blue pots with it.

That's a really cool idea. I've heard it before actually, but forgotten all about it! As SouthernStarr has already said it's about the height, by using pots you can vary the look of a border or display visually, otherwise its easy to end up with basically a row of plants all the same sort of height. So you miss the individual plants and just seem them in "mass".

Thanks for the inspiration will try and do something with pots for the Spring Flowering Bulbs next year.
