      Parasite ID help

I purchased a 15" Showa from Kodama that was shipped to me a little over a week ago. Upon arrival I noticed a fair amount of surface breathing - which I initially believed was stress from the environment change/lower temp (I'm in NY). The next day the fish was resting on the bottom of the QT with clamped fins and not eating. He remained primarily in this state for the next two three days. On tuesday last week I began treatment with Proform-C. As of today the fish was primarily swimming but still not eating. Upon closer inspection I observed an ulcer on near the head and irritation on the edge of the tail. I treated these areas today with iodine and also did a scrape. The attached photos are taken from a slide of the sample. Given that I finished dosing with the Proform-C several days ago it may be remnants of a parasite. Thanks in advance for any help in the dx.

PS - My QT is an an old 500 G pond that has no fish but is occupied by some frogs.

Nothing I recognize as a parasite. Looks like algae or something harmless to koi

I agree with Cindy....It looks like no bug I've ever seen and leftover parasites are non existent
the simplest explanation is usually the correct one......... Occams razor....

I concur with Cindy and Graham. No parasite I've ever seen.

I freaked the first time I found that, thought it was a mini octopus, determined to eat my koi.

Thanks for the help. The koi is doing significantly better since yesterday's treatment. It's no longer resting and now just hoping that he regains his appetite.

Thank you for your kind assistance. It looks like the koi is recovering as he is no longer resting.

      Update

About a week and a half after my last post the fish developed dropsy and died. As I wanted answers for the cause of his death and am pretty certain that the slides I posted show "Hexamita" or at least the Hexamita's flagella.
