Hi Steve,
The electric box was used on a conveyor for circuit boards and the 220 v box was used on a solder paste printer.

For anyone out there looking for ideas on how or where to get "electronics"
Lots of businesses go under and the machines are sold for almost nothing.
If you go to a place where they refurbish and resell the machines you can buy it for a lot less then had you bought it and built it yourself.
Harvest whatever you need from the machine and the rest can be scrapped.
When you go to buy the machine you don't want to get a refurbished machine but rather one that is as is.
It will cost you cheaper.

Wow
We took a look at a lot of different types of pumps before deciding on the Franklin jet pump.
I think we made a good decision in our purchase.
So far that has been the most expensive item to date.

Today we finished installing the screen. We decided to put three smaller pieces of screen under each panel rather than one sheet.
This way we can change only the portion that is damaged if need be.
We used helicoils to tighten the panels to the drum and I think that it was a waste of money.
We ended up running into problems with them as they were coming out.
Now we might have to go with 1/4" SS screws.
Originally the reason why we went with helicoils is because I was thinking that we might strip the threads in the plastic and I did not want to use nut and washers.
The reason why the helicoils are not working is because the wall is too thin.
After we installed the screen we turned the pump on and the draw down was the same as in the videos.
The water didn't go down lower than before which surprised me.
Right now we are getting close to 5500 gals of flow through the filter.

What did you use as a seal between the screen and the plastic? As you know the opening of a 44 micron screen is microscopic, so any gaps during construction allows for that waste to pass through. A good strong double sided tape works well for a seal and helps keep the gap closed between screw holes in the drum frame.
Also i don't remember seeing what type of switch you are using to start the cleaning process.

Filter looks great.
Do you think you could do a quick YouTube video of filter in operation?

Hi Zac,
I used 3M double sided tape to hold the screen in place but was planning to put a bead of PL on the edge of each panel. The removable panel will have a rubber gasket. In post #37 I was talking about the temporary Photo switch - WT150-N162 and the mounting bracket.
You have experience with the RDF so I have a question. My jet pump is cycling on and off every ½ second and would like to know if you had any suggestions. We can change the nozzle in the pump for a lower pressure, increase the pressure on the switch, install a bypass and return the water to its source or combination of all I just mentioned. I’m thinking of going with the bypass since I really don’t want to change the water pressure on the nozzles.

Yes the pressure switch is your problem. I bypass the switch when i hard wire the pumps so that I can build as much pressure as i want without the pump turning off. To do this you need to remove the wire leads for the switch and just hard wire the cord to the motor connections.
