      Fish or frog?

I'm guessing these are frog eggs.. But I've never seen either fish or frog eggs, so I'm not sure.

The egg itself looks very froggy. But I"ve never seen them in strings like that. Our native froggies group them in clumps. I'm guessing a frog or toad specie.

Cool.... I took out as many as possible.... We have at least three different species of water frogs and definitely a bunch of toads in and around my pond and bog... There's no way of getting rid of them, I live in an area surrounded by greenbelt and creeks.... Heck, I even have the random bobcat sniffing at my fence.. Lol

I did throw a small strand into my quarantine tank to give the resident goldfish some snacks... If she doesn't eat them, I'm sure my son will enjoy watching them

If the fish eat the eggs or tadpoles they are frog. If they try them and spit them out they are toad. Toads secrete nasty substances that protect them from predators.

I did a good vacuuming and string algae removal, so hopefully I got most all of them. I did, however, put about a dozen eggs in my Q-tank so my kid can watch them grow. I probably won't be getting any new fish until fall.
