A little video of the tank...
I forgot to update on this. The screen change lasted a day or two. I ended up soaking the 100m screen in bleach for a few hours and then redid all of the weather stripping on it. The bottom section was separating causing it to fall in. Once that was redone, it held and has continued to hold.
I did get into cleaning out the RDF a bit as it is near the 1 year mark. I worked on just the Draco portion and the reservoir. I drained it down with a submersible pump and then dropped the pump in a bucket under the reservoir drain line that has a fernco cap on it to keep it closed. I removed the cap and started spraying down the unit and the walls. Before I got to the bottom I used a bleach solution to spray down the RDF screen. I gave it a good soak and rotated it a few times to make sure I sprayed every portion of the screen. While that sat I continued to hose down the interior of the reservoir to remove any algae growing on the walls and waste that settled into the bottom. The screen got a good rinse and then another flush on the reservoir. Eventually capped the drain line and filled it back up. The time between cycles has nearly doubled since then, so I may make this a more regular event. It only took about 30 minutes so doing this once a quarter or bi-annually won't be too bad.
Next up once the weather gets better is to drain the reservoir again so I can tilt the unit and pull out the media portion. I will see how it looks and likely give it a nice cleaning as well.
Stupid screen keeps falling in. I need to redo it at some point. In the mean time it is did in so it physically can't fall but will take a little more effort to fully clean it. I will get to that during the winter.
Pond wise, fish are growing well.
Stop video taping by the waterfall return LOL Too many air bubbles

Sometimes we get too comfortable in our routines, and today it hit me. I did a water change this afternoon and while I did remember to turn off the hoses, I did not remember to add dechlor. I was able to get some in after it was running for about 4 hours. Lost one, another one occasionally coming up for air. I am sure my bio has been knocked back as well. Will be doing more water changes and holding off on feeding while the bio kicks back in and the fish recover. It was the second big hit for the pond this year. Hopefully that is it and I can get back to just enjoying the pond again.
Measurement time is coming up soon to make decisions on who goes and who stays. I always thin before the Koi show knowing I will buy even if I don't intend to. I normally get what I like, but with the outbreaks this last year its more window shopping and maybe getting just a few or having a dealer with a good QT just shipping a few to me.
The photos suck, but the fish are nice. I did a measure the other day and the pics are not worth sharing beyond these. Over the last two years I have picked up 4 Ochiba from Genki. One went GR Soragoi which I saw as a possibility when I picked it up. Of the three that held, they have been great additions to the pond. The first was an ochiba where the brown has two different tones. It was unique to me at least. The second has a 5 step pattern and despite being a year younger than my other two, it is only 2 inches behind in size. The last is the largest of the three with a pattern that I enjoyed a lot at purchase and has only gotten better. If I had to stick to a pond of a single breed, Ochiba would be the one for me.
Father's Day Fish is a hot mess of a mutt. This one has been consistent. I think it is more of an inconsistency with the pigment, or two sets of pigment, rather than going through a big change. Here it is a year ago and I think there actually may be less of the second tone than there was last year, or at least stretched out a bit more to reduce its visibility.
