      Some question's on RES

I have two baby red eared sliders in a 15 gallon tank. I have and Ehiem Caninster but I don't know how many gallons it is. It's a pretty nice size tank though. I also have a Fluval canister filter but I think that one is for a bigger tank so I am not using it as of yet. I want to see if these guys will start growing so I was wondering what is the best food to give them and how often do I feed them?

I'm assuming that the Ehiem filter tanks has low flow rates? The flow of water coming back into the tank is not fast and gushing out, but rather slow and at a continuous pace. Is it true that the Fluval tanks handle higher flow raters and if so how much? My Fluval Canister filter is about the same size as the one shown in this posting on craigslist. Maybe even bigger. The Ehiem Filter tank is a little smaller. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bar/3687981661.html

And what does it mean when the turtle keeps swimming up and bumping up against the glass as if he wants to get out? This is my first time owning a turtle so I'm quite intrigued by these little guys. I bought a couple of neon tetras and a guppie to keep them company.

Here is a good care sheet on them...

Ultimately the tetra's and guppy will be dinner for the res. Kept indoors they require a reptile bulb that will give them the uv light they must have...that's very important.

Sorry I can help on the differences between ehiem and fluval canisters...never used either.

That's a good link Wolfhound, thank you for posting it. I read where the little guys claw at the sides of the aquarium to beg for food... might be the answer to the OP question! Such little piggys they are!
