I did not mean to lie to yall earlier today. I forgot I had ordered these. I thought I changed my mind and did not send the order in, I guess I goofed up. Now I really dont know how too grow these I have tried so many times before. Should I mix sand with some potting soil or just use a good potting soil. There are 42 of these little jewels.

With me it was trial and error on the seeds. Some I cann,t seem to kill and other I cann,t seem to grow but my list of easy to grow seed for this area grows every year. I made some stunning hedges with huge potted cosmos one year but the hydrangeas ended up needing those big pots so I haven,t repeated it. I finally planted out the hydrangeas this year but dh snagged the pots for his veggies the next day. He must have been eyeballing them for years. My monney has to go into fences again this year . I have all the post for another 700 or so feet but I still have to buy the wire and rails. That little bit will almost finish the perimitor fence. I cann,t make up my mind if I want to fence our stand of old growth forest or not. Visually it would look bad but on the other hand it would give the horses another area to go to when its storming out.

For hens and chicks, I don't think it matters how or where you plant them, mine will grow anywhere, even where there is no soil at all, I have yet to kill any of them, they just keep multiplying and I toss them around the house here and here, those are my kind of plant, LOL!

I can kill them I have 3 pots outside that were full of them last spring and now there are 4 plants the size of my thumb in 2 of them, the other is bare, I got these from Mountaincrest Gardens and they say filtered shade in the summer where its too hot. Mine were planted in full sun. Oklahoma sun can cook anything.

From what I understand, they are some hens and chicks that ate not 'hardy'.

I've had mine for close to 40 years and I just keep moving them around also. Even in pots in a hard winter, I have never lost them all.

The cotton tails will eat them though...one reason mine are in pots off the ground.

I want so much to be able to play with the plants but we still have a couple of cool nights coming our way not too mention a bad storm that is on the way and might bring tornados and hail

Mine were out all winter and are growing like crazy right now. But, something is/was eating them. I don't know if it is the chipmunks or the squirrels
Some are missing from the pots.

Now what am I going to do with these. I am running out of things to plant them in, My sister gave me this strawberry pot but I am thinking about getting another pot and turning it upside down in a large shallow container and having more growing around its base,
