From the web site, the rules aren't totally clear. Is it all lotto without any choice?

Based on how I read it. Participants draw a number and then match that with the fish with the corisponding number. Its not lotto, but random selection.

What? Who wants a fish from random drawing?

I asked the same quesion to Genkikoi - his answer was -this is way he gets more participation from all across the country otherwise only handful of local hobbyists will get all the early best picks. I think the best way should be on a on a first come first served basis.

I looked at the pics briefly. I only saw 4 fish that I did not care for. I saw about 10 I really liked. For the most part it looks like a good batch of grow outs. I would have to look a lot closer if I was to consider this grow out. I think I'm good to go with fish this year. If RP comes to any of the shows in tri state area that may change!

I think sometimes you can get a fish that you'd normally have to pay more than the g.o. price too...
some of us have a hard time picking a tosai for the future anyway, so why not leave it to chance?

I called Kevin. I told him the rule Mystic Koi used is very good. I think he called Shaw and changed rules.
