Brand new to Goldfish. Here is my start.

I am not new to fish keeping, and have had many tanks and grew some tiny koi in my pond. After they grew for about 1.5 years, I sold them to a good home. I wanted to convert my pond to really cool pond goldfish. I got 4 really nice small Wakin (classic red and white) from my local store. Then I found Raingarden. Also got 2 Black Opal shubunkin from Blackwater Creek. I wanted unique goldfish for my pond. Here are some pics of my Raingarden fish (raingarden pics).

      2 golden wakin (body ~3-4")
      2 blue wakin (body ~ 5")
      1 Midnight Shubunkin (body ~6.5")

I also added a few more floating planted plants: Creeping jenny, and another moneywart variety. I have two floating planters that I am keeping duckweed in to occasionally feed them duckweed...They seem to love it. I figured these new little guys might appreciate a little more cover on the pond since they are new. I will have to get a few pics of my black opal shubunkins and red/white wakins. They are pretty nice looking, to me that is . This is my first post in the Goldfish forum, so be kind

Thanks! I built the pond all by myself. It was more then I bargained for, but turned out well.

I am starting to get the "Goldfish" bug also Your fish are beautiful. I especially love the yellow, but the ochiba looking ones are gorgeous.
Your pond is also very nice and tranquil. Best of luck with the new babies.

Hey, I almost bought that exact Midnight! Was watching it for a while, but then it dissappeared from the site ... now I know why (: I bought some of Steve's Shukins instead.

Very nice pond ... what kind of filters do you have?

I am also considering some Black Opals. I don't like that you can't select individual fish, so I would love to see pics of yours when you get a chance. Are you happy with what they sent?

Very nice. Your pond looks perfectly suited to goldies. I really like the black and red long tail one.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I think the big Midnight/Red Shubunkin is becoming a favorite. I tried to take pics, but they just didn't come out well. So I took a video. Hard to get a good one without glare, but you get an idea of the Black Opal Shubunkins, they are pretty cool and friendly. Always the first to the top. Put a little duckweed on the surface for the video.

Boy, the midnight looks huge compared to the others! They are all lovely. I'll be curious to see if the midnight and the Black Opals hold on to their black as they are claimed to ... according to Blackwater Creeks the Opals change all the time like a Shiro Utsuri. Would love to hear and see updates on your fish!

I will keep you guys updated on how the color holds up. I am kinda excited to see how the color changes. The midnight shubunkin is about 10.5" including the tail.
