Thanks !!
Does that mean this is doitsu as well? Or matsuba?
I'm trying to figure this out there are just so many variants that resemble one another and I'm sure being of lesser quality doesn't make it any easier ... Just want to put names to faces
Wish I had better pics my fish don't like to be netted and bowled any tips on taming the little guys ?
Doitsu Gin Rin? But dont know if the orange markings will affect the name?
There are two types of fish scales: wagoi (regular scaled) or doitsu (no scales or large "armour" scales).
The scales can be regular or gin rin, which has an iridescent, reflective quality. I think that there are 4 or 5 different types of GR.
Everything before the variety of the fish is simply descriptive.
GR and doitsu are very rarely used together to describe a fish...
Kikokuryu Butterfly?.... sorry for the bad quality pic I guess blowing it up blurred it a lot... Oh and there is a rosie red in there...but thats whole other issue I dont even want to start on

Ok I see the difference in the GR now....
Well this next one has me stumped; again its probably the quality that hides the true identify of the fish from my novice eyes but I was thinking Hi bekko at first and then Showa maybe? None the less it is a Butterfly... I don't know if you can tell but I love butterflies!! Oh and its Wagoi
