You can go to most aquarium stores and put in some requests. Goldfish have a little less pull, but you can see what they come back with. A lot go through Seagrest Farms, so you can check out their page to find something local to you. Their website will tell you what they typically have and what they rarely have. If its not on there, they don't have it. Liveaquaria has a small amount, but its hit and miss on pricing. My local place does Seagrest and I bought a Panda Moor a few years back for $10. They don't have it anymore sayign its a pain to find, aquaria has it for $26. Flip side my local store has Crown Pearlscale for 18-25 each, but its 6 bucks on liveaquaria.

I know a few others will chime in with other options for ya.

Just find a local dealer and get on their list. Mine is on for some bubble eye and panda. If they ever get some in their shipments, they place it on reserve and give me a call. Most good places will do that for ya.

I don't know if there are companies set up to import individual boxes of fish, but I remember being stunned in Hong Kong by the goldfish. amazing marketing. Think of balloons on a wall at a fairground dart game. Then inside, the most amazing goldfish I have ever seen, (way beyond most of the photographs I have ever seen....with prices to match. I imagine that shipping costs would be much more affordable than koi, given the weight and size of the boxes.

Thanks everyone.... I have never appreciated goldfish until this koi show I went to. They had goldfish there as well. I am now convinced that goldfish are actually worth a ****!! LOL, So much so I bought a handful of goldfish at the show, came home and converted my bedroom tropical 65 gallon tank to a goldfish tank.... traded in all my tropicals for store credit, took out the heater and redecorated Went from a natural amazon river looking aquarium to a fun colorful goldfish tank.

Don't forget Dandy Orandas ... he has some gorgeous fancies. He has an auction, as well as a CD he will send by request. I love his fish and they're very healthy.

All my aquariums have always been formal, natural replications of specific ecosystems. I wanted the goldfish tank to be fun and colorful.

Nice set up and such sweet fishies Goldfishutopia is another source for quality goldies.....and just wanted to throw in...if you should aquire any goldies with 'bulging eyes' of any sort like Celestials or Moore's you may need to remove any 'pointy' type of decorations so as not to potentially hurt/loose their eyes
Would love to see on-going updates on your tank and 'fin babe collection'
