There all looking good!
There all looking good!
I planted some last year next to the pond and they came up so nice this year (pics attached), so I planted a hosta garden under the shade tree. I haven't taken pictures of those yet.

Is the one planted in the water? They looked very nice!
I have a hosta addiction. We have a few and I'll get pics up soon. I love the minis & the giants. We planted 4 minis & the Empress Wu last year. I'm always looking for a new hosta but I have a (husband as of tomorrow) significant other that keeps me in check once in a while. We rent so when we are ready to move we have tons of perennials to move too. I also love day lilies.

A marriage among us, how are you having time to post?
Daylilies, my new passion. This is my latest, just got it planted a couple days ago:
I love day lilies too! That is beautiful! We planted some nice ones last year but they are kind of struggling this year. They need a new spot to grow.
It's going to be very small & quick so not too much to do between our work and my classes we didn't really want much. There are other things to spend hard earned money on like hostas and fat little Ryukins
Probably should have started a new thread for the Lilies. The pics of my hostas are next to the pond and not in the water. I have other plants in the marginal area.
Thanks for the pictures everyone. Even the daylily Krury.
Well my hosta fetish reared it's ugly head again this month. I noticed it was hosta sale time so I scanned through and chose from the ones with the best sale prices. I ordered 24 more.
I have started to collect some mini and small hosta.
I have been thinking about a special way to protect and display the minis and found these pictures that I thought the hosta lovers might enjoy. I think I am going to do something like this for my little hosta.

Very pretty. I need to get started on collecting those soon. I have lots of varigated ones but really would like a large crinkly leafed blue.

In early spring of last year (2012) I bought some tiny Hosta roots of at all places the Dollar Store lol. Last year only 2 of the 5 even did anything, so I just figured the other 3 had died, and the 2 that grew were only a few leaves. Well this spring they all grew, I was surprised to see the ones that didn't grow last year still be alive this year. The ones who grew for the first time this year were teeny tiny, but still alive. Now here it is September 30th and the biggest of all five is just now blooming for the first time. LOL Hosta blooms in October, thats a first for me. At our old house the landscaping when we bought it was 90% hostas, I loved them.
Those are great! thanks for posting them!!!
