I was moving a few plants today and I noticed an xanthosoma growing in my wagon of sedum. It was not planted in there so some seed my have gotten some how. It looks like my Tahitian Xanthosoma that I have ha a couple of years. I had tubers early this spring that I put in a large pot but I think the sow bugs ate them. I am not sure the colocasia are taking over the place. I am having too get some of my variegated plants moved too under the trees because they are starting too burn. I will post pics when I am though with the move. Here is a pic of my red wagon.

Well went out too check the Maui Golds too see how they were doing.I put 2, 2inch maui Golds in a basket of sand with one Blue Hawaii. 2 other alocasia babies. They are growing in my waterfall filter box for my Koi pond. When winter comes I will sink the pot down into the water and it will winter over just fine. I am not sure about the alocasia but I will chance it

Beautiful Gary. I saw one in Logees catalog a while back that was almost all white.

They are very nice. I don't think I have seen so many different varieties before. I have two. One I have had for 46 years! It blooms sometimes and I think it smells like Old Spice!

Someone stole my old one. We brought it with us from South Carolina when dad retired from the Air 'Force in 1965

Gary, I think it is time for you to get at least two greenhouses. The house is not going to be big enough for you and the plants, and knowing how you love the plants, that means you will be sleeping outside.

Gary really should have a working greenhouse. He creates the most beautiful containers of plants. He would have lots of happy customers for sure.

You can build a little green house in order to get purge of nasty weather. Shades can also be taken into consideration.

Its been so hot and dry here. things are really winding down. I got rid of 8 more Roosters yesterday and gave the guineas away too. they were mean and kept picking on the chickens. They of course were very loud too. So that is I think 31 Roosters I have given away the bad thing is that I still have 30 more Roosters. No I dont need that many but I want too see what they are going too like grown. They are pretty nice now.

Nancy I am not sure. I did buy 6 sexlinks saturday that should lay big brown eggs in a month or so. I guess I should try and count the bantam hens

Its so hot and humid here I can hardly stand it outside. Dale and I walked a little over a mile today. Its been a chore for me too get him too start walking and all of us have drs appointments tomorrow so dont know when we can walk again. He has supposed too have been walking since he had the 5 bypasses almost a year ago and hasnt. Yeah it makes me mad but I cant do anything with either one of them. Nancy I think I got a pretty good count on my bantam hens and it looks like somewhere around 45 but I have 6 regular laying hens that should be good with them. I also have 14 other pullets that will be regular laying hens too. I am not sure what breeds they are probably black, red, brown and gold sex links.

Is winding down in my area. Pretty soon all of the plants wi be coming inside for the winter, I will have too bring quite a few into the house this year too. I am planning on trying too bareroot a lot of the bigger plants. I am thinking of making a large bed somewhere in the back this next year and plant a lot of them in the ground we will see if that can happen and I will leave them out from then on.
