Plants are great. The variety is stunning. Of course as with all gardens, there are some weeds, but gander doesn't see the beauty for the weeds. Very pretty garden, gander. Thanks for allowing the visit.

Before and after the first pic was when I put them outside

Looking at my plants today I saw a lot of them laying down, It seems the storm took out 2 of my large borneo's. These had really arm thick trunks that were several years old. I might just cut off the foliage and save the trunks for next season if they dont rot. They were getting too big too deal with anyway. the first pic is what it looked like this spring. the other 2 pics are just a few weeks ago its the tall ones right in the top right of the pic, not the one on the far right just in that group the one of the edge kept its trunk.

This is the pics of the 2 plants that fell in the storm they were quite old.

Here are the 2 trunks that broke off of one of my pots of Borneo Giants. Actually only the longer one broke off and I had too cut the smaller one with bigger leaves. It had fallen over and could not be straightened back out. Apparently these have been down a while and as they were on the back row I did not notice.. the end of the long one has withered a lot but the stump it broke off of is still juicy and fat. I probably wont do anything with these. I really dont have the room too mess with them and its really late in the season. I might just let them dry out and see if they will sprout in the ground next year. The trunks have lots of trunk corms on them so they have plenty of growing points too start other plants with. This has been a bad year for my alocasia and nearly all the new colocasia I bought just rotted away.

From your pictures it looks like you have had a great year! What do you think, caused the colocasia to rot? Was the water to deep on them?
What was wrong with your alocasia?

Nancy Most of the variegated Alocasia has not really done well this year. The new colocasia were not even in the water. They just kinda melted, They were all nice looking plants but I dont know what happened too them they just rotted away. There were 3 plants in a large pot and only one thrived, I even had a pot full of Malaysian Monster alocaisa maybe 8 in the pot one week they were beautiful and the next week they are all dead like I had sprayed poison on them

Gary and Rich I am so happy you to got to visit. There never seems to be enough time for just wondering threw the garden showing it off to friends. I have been working to much this summer the weeds are the only thing doing well in this heat wave we have been having all summer.
