This year my pots that set around the yard will take on a new look or at least most of the will. I will still have about 6 pots devoted too mainly herbs with a few ornamental peppers and a few flowers for color. Most of the rest will somewhat resemble what I normally plant iin them but they will all mostly have a clump of Stella de Oro day lily in them, They will also have some tall garden Phlox in them and different colors of cone flowers and other perennials. The pots will be fuller I think. The taro will be the same but I have more room so they dont have too be crowded. They will have caladiums and impatiens planted with some of them. I started planting today but it will take while i did get 14 pots taken care of so somewhere in the neighbor hood of 30 more too plant and then the 50 on the back porch have too come outside and be worked on,

WoW! I could never have that many pots to keep watered. That is all that I would get done.

They all sound so pretty. I have not tried Day Lilies, Garden Phlox, or Cone flowers in pots before. I guess they would be able to overwinter outside.

Yes Nancy I had them in some of the pots last year and they did great. Well I did not have any Daylilies in them but I had some I did not get planted and they lived.
I probably only have too water 30 or so the rest will be in the water troughs

Gary you have your work cut out for you! Like Nancy said I would have a hard time keeping them all watered. Good luck and of course we want to see pics as you finish them!

Well I am getting closer and closer. I have worked my self too death today, I had too run too the Indian Clinic for a bit this morning so did not get started until late.
Got all the pots that will go in the water troughs in, I have too tweak a few of those and fertilize half of them. I used 20 pounds of Miracle Gro shake and feed. I dont use the shaker I use hand fulls.lol Still have some herbs too plant and my tomatoes. Got my tiller fixed and half too plant my strawberry patch. still have lots of things that go in the ground too. I still have at least a week under the shade house. I need too spray for weeds and poison Ivy too. Here are a few pics though. Nothing great.

Thanks I think when the Taro and Bananas start growing and straighten up it will be fine. The pots will be different this year when all is growing.

I know that I am being impatient but I wish my Taro would start growing. Most of it went dormant this winter. I guess I lost my favorite ones that big maui gold that was in the water falls box is gone and for some reason I cant find hide nor hair of my blue Hawaii it was so big and pretty last year, I cant even find the pot that it was in. I cant find My Mickey Mouse either but I did have one in the house and I set it out if I can remember where I put it. With so many pots things tend to get misplaced. lol

Hey Squeak, do you have white lava elephant ear?
I saw some bulbs at Lowes but wasn't sure how well they would grow so I didn't buy any.

WoW Gary! You have such a huge variety of so many different plants. You could sell your pots for well over 150.00 each. Some for much more. They are all so well planted.
I hope you find your Blue Hawaii and your Mickey Mouse.

Well they are calling for drastic weather starting at around six tonight. I am sure Delbert will get hit too. They are calling for tornados and large Hail and 8 to 12 inches or rain. I so hope they are wrong. I have about 9 or so pots left to plant that is not counting the bulbs I am sneaking into the non taro pots, So I am not doing anything today just too worried.. The Native Lands Boys mowed my yards last night so it looks good.

I love all your pots! Love the sedum in the wagon too. I think you could have a business selling your pots

Stay safe with the storms. We had one a few days ago, but the bad stuff went north of us, so not bad except we did get several inches of rain.

Gary your pots look great. I love the variegated Sunpatiens. I looked for some white lava elephant ear taro today at Walmart, but they didn't have any.

We had another inch of rain last night. That makes 9 inches in 4 days. I did buy the prettiest variegated yellow & green vine today. The only info on it was it is from Brazil. It is called Brazil Vine. Low light inside plant.

Stay safe from the storm. I hope it doesn't mess up your plants.

      EDIT
      Found some info:
Philodendron 'Brasil' The Most Heavily Variegated. The Philodendron has more yellow then green.
