      I didn't get any decent shots because she's a bleeder.[/QUOTE]

Maybe if your koi had eyelids. She would be able to keep her eyes closed and not see you and there would be no bleeding from the _ _ _ s.

It is funny to see chubby cheeks on a fish. She hates when I pet them.

So what is the body count? How many did you come up with?

Seems like in six years some of these should have grown up.

I have been Blessed to have acquired some new larger fish in the 30+ range but Grut is still the largest.

I have Soragoi that may have hit 30" this year. If not probably next year. Also maybe my Chag who is currently 28"ish.
Other than that...nothing else has a chance in my herd.

Its super wishful thinking that maybe my Shusui will get there but I really, really, really, really doubt it.

Oh also wishful thinking is a 14" Marusei Hi Utsuri. Fingers crossed although it isn't a very nice looking fish.

      I got no gosanke game

That was her official Photo for Jumbo Champion.

I have not pulled her to measure since that show in Sept. of 16. SO I cannot answer that.

She grew 3" the previous year that I had her but I am not sure if she is over a meter yet this year.

She is an extremely gentle fish and HATES the boys in the pond. They are very rude at the feeding station to her. I have to sneak her a handful (yes a full handful) of food at each feeding. Then she quietly sinks below the rest of the feeding frenzy. While taking her to that show she did jump and the splash was very scary for both of us.

It's funny that you say that. I have a 34" kohaku, and it's the same thing. I still am bewildered at how she reached this size being so passive.

hey, that's my Ochiba's name!!! Because that's what everyone says when they see her in person!!

Grut is an odd name for such a beautiful fish, how did you come up with it?

All of my fish eat slowly now; I only have 4 adults, about 30" plus one "leftover" baby, that's over a foot at 3 years. 2 males, 2 females, and I'm pretty sure the baby is a female. When I had babies in the pond, the feeding frenzy was ridiculous. Then all of them were flipping over each other. I called them sharks when they all (70 babies) cut a "V" through the water towards me.
