I bought her last October as a Sansai at 74cm (29.1 inches) The dealer kept her for me until the first week of July. When she came to me she was 82cm (32.3 inches) I put her in the pond 5 weeks later after quarantine at 84 cm (33 inches).
I have seen Tosai grow that quick but not a 30'' fish. Picture is from October and the hand is Mr. Konishi's and he said to me this will be 1 meter Koi.
She looks way better in real life with very velvety skin an amazingly even skin tone especially the head.

Yes she is. A scaled Karashigoi and she was not cheap. As a matter of fact she carried a price of a very nice 3 year old Gosanke.

      Hirasawa mukashi 92 cm

      Hirasawa koi
I love this koi a friend posted on my wall.
      This is what he said:
Yes, rare indeed! Mukashi's are from the ogon family. It is a old variety, but last years it is gaining popularity again. Hirasawa is famous for their gigantic Mukashi that exceed 1 meter easy.
KamiKoi Ibiza : Yes, me too, i am not a fan of Hirasawa koi, but the Giant jumbo's are most impressive.

KamiKoi Ibiza: This one is now 109 cm

This is a video of a Japanese man lifting Koi out of the water and feeding them

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gfsB...layer_embedded
I thought my Koi are tame. They come out of the water when they see me. Love their tummy scratched and eating from a baby bottle, but this amazed me.

Wow. I would love to have these. Beautiful.

This is what I am missing in my pond.
The first step towards getting somewhere, is to decide you are not going to stay where you are.
