How much concrete does a block wall take?

Getting ready to fill cells and other stuff. Normally I just mix until the job is done. However I may be in the neighborhood of 5 yds. So I am looking at a pump and truck.
The footings the other day was 2 1/2 yrds. Long day. I have to handle material three time when I mix it.

Awhile back I saw that someone actully had the number for the amount of concrete to fill block (8 X 8 X 16) with two cells. I just don't remember which thread or sticky. Just looking for how many cells to a bag or actual cells to the yard. Something to get me in the ball park.

      Any help???????

Here ya go, Monte. The recipe starts on post 6. Read on, there are some corrections due to dry stacking or mortared block walls.

Hey Monte, you ABSOLUTELY want to have a truck pump the concrete in the cells. You will save loads of time, your spine will not become shattered, and will not cost much more than doing it yourself. Also, some pump trucks only charge you for the concrete you actually use, so ask them beforehand.

I second that emotion, it's quick and efficient, cost me $300 over concrete cost but was well worth it IMO. That included cell filling, pond floor and Filter pit floor.
