      I have a problem

But I am running out of money so it may solve itself. My days off the weather has been really crappy for a while so instead of setting at home I head to a greenhouse. Yes I always find something I need. If I set home and you people are not posting pretty pics I find plant places online and order plants. So some of this I can blame on the weather and some I can blame on you people. Right now I have about 12 unplanted large pots. Thats not the problem. The problem is I need about 24 unplanted large pots. After I cut myself so badly yesterday I could not get anything planted. So I am left singing sad songs. You know I had to replace one of the Kong Coleus that froze out the other day, Well when I went to replace the 1 measley little plant 3 more hopped in my basket. Oh well after I win the lottery I will have all the plants I need. Then I bet I will have relatives and friends that want to help me plant things and clean my house in hopes I will forget how they treated me before I won.

You wouldn't want to see pics of my yard right now. Spending so much time with family problems I'm not home enough to do anything much at all. I love looking at everyone else's pics though, especially yours Gary. Your garden amazes me every year.
I hope your hand heals up fast.

Thanks I really appreciate the thoughts.

Nancy this is mostly your fault for starting this whole obsession. If you had not posted pics of that VARIEGATED ALOCASIA MACRORHIZZA I would not have started googeling all of these plants. The thing is I still dont have one of those. I have 2 coming though. I talked to the man again today. He says they go dormant in the winter and have not broke their dormancy yet. He his getting some larger ones from Hawaii in the next couple of weeks though and they will be bigger and they are mine.

Gary, sorry, but my plant assortment is tiny by comparison to yours. So pics of them will only make you think "where's the good stuff?", LOL. Now if someone that we know down south would post some pics of his very cool & unusual plant collection, then that would be something to see Sorry to hear your hands got hurt & hope you heal quickly. Good luck with those lottery tickets

Naaawww, you don't have a problem, you have a passion. You enjoy plants and their beauty, its your hobby. I for one love seeing your plants, pond, etc.

I would have more plants, lily tanks, etc. too if I had the time to take care of them but I'm lucky to get what I have taken care of. I'm not planting as many pots of flowers this year as I simply don't have the time to keep up with watering them all.

      Plant BandAid for Gander:

Okay, so I do not have even a fraction of the plants that you have, but just maybe you don't have this one yet and may find it interesting to look at:

Its called "Dutchmans Pipe Vine". Its supposed to look like the pipe that Sherlock Holmes used. I think its cool and it smells like lemons or citronella. There is another variety that smells like rotting flesh, I made sure that mine did not when I ordered it. The surface of the bloom is textured much like raised velvet in the burgundy patches. It recently occured to me that I think there is fabric with this pattern. I'll bet they copied it from this plant.

...and something else, but not an unusual one...

Passion Vine bloom. I have long forgotten its name exactly...

I like the center of the bloom - it reminds me of battlestar gallactica shows, I see the center as some sort of aircraft landing tower...did I ever say I had a vivid and wild imagination??

I guess bees and butterflies count as aircraft....

The passion vines grow wild here. Every so often I find one on the fence. I dont try and plant too many vines I already have tons of them to try and poison out.

Ah ha! So the solution to your plant problem is if everyone only posts pics of blooms from vines! Then you won't be encouraged to go get that plant...

Now why is that? Perennials would save you A LOT of money and you would not have to replant them next year = LESS work and MORE relaxing...

I think Gary just likes to spend money...Have you seen his dish collection and his indoor flower arrangements?

Gary, we all know the first step to recovery is to admit we have an addiction...

what he really needs is a "little woman" and half a dozen kids...there would be NO money for plants, dishes or flower arrangements
