The Miya Hideo prize is for the heaviest Koi in the show.

Absolutely incredible coverage. My thanks to Russ and Kari. Compared to what I have from the 2002 AJS this is "head and shoulders" above.

The Yoshida Hiroshi Prize is for the longest Koi in the show. It happens to be a Sanke with the Matsunosuke bloodline in it but it was not produced by INC. I am not sure of the breeder.

I have more pictures but the bad news is that my camera no longer works. I was able to get more pictures out of it but they have to be resized one at a time. The main problem is going to be figuring out how to take pictures for the rest of the trip.

Wow... Thanks Russ for the snaps...

There were a number of Koi pictured that I would love to own. One that really caught my eye is the tancho showa in post #121... very very nice.

      Wow Russell:

Great pictures! One thing - it looks like you forgot to post the prices...

From the reflection in a lot of the pictures, it appears that they're using mixed banks of HO fluorescent lights as the main lighting. As someone that was judging, how well do you think this arrangement worked vs. relying on natural light? Any guesses on the mix?

Gorgeous koi, simply stunning! The beni looks painted on them.

Good luck with the camera, I hope it gets sorted out. I love the show coverage, thanks Russ and Kari.
