Stepthen: This method you used; would this method seam feasable for ponds in the size range of 20,000 to 30,000 gallon ponds or is the cost much more then standard gunite concrete and polyurea coated ponds?

Hi Bob. Sorry I missed your post. No, I do not think it would be feasable for a pond of that size.

I wanted to bump your thread back up Stephen. Hope you don't mind. I bought two Cetus sieves from another member today and mentioned your pond. they hadn't seen the thread before so i started wondering how many others hadn't seen it as well. The varsity pond is one pond worth bringing back up from time to time to allow the new members to enjoy. heck i enjoy it everytime I see it!

      10 Years Later Update

During the last decade, we always had spawns but the koi (ate the eggs) or birds always made nature take its' course.

      This year is different

We have not added any fish in the last 10 years. In the previous years, there would always be a tiny few that would make it through. The koi have been spawning the last few weeks, like the many years before. However; This Year we seem to have 1000's that have survived! I imagine the birds will be flocking here and they are most welcome.

      Kinda Strange??

Maybe it was the cold snap this year that got them going.
