Gotta try and find the tag for this one
Sorry to disappoint you Gary, I don't have any Golden Hahnii.
I think the reason people recommend growing them in small pots is because they are very sensitive to overwatering. So it is best if the roots fill out the pot. Certain varieties will actually push themselves out of the pot when they send out a new offset. And if the pot is too small and unforgiving the new offsets can become wrinkled and mal-formed.
and if you're wondering why each Sansevieria got its own post...
let's just say I was getting tired of waiting to join the yada club.

They're all beauties...and I feel honored to have seen most of them in person.
Do you have 'Congo' yet or is that the same as 'Zuluensis'?

I have one that I'm pretty sure is Congo, now known as masoniana. Zuluensis is similar but not exactly the same. That's the problem with Sansevierias, the same plant can look different from one offset to another and there is confusion about the true identity of plants.
Sonny I just want to say thank you! I was Googling the traditional Mother-In-Law-Tongue a while back and looking at images and the like and one of your pictures came up and so I found this thread.
It's really hard to find different varieties / cultivators over here, you basically get the common trifasciata and that's it, so I'm genuinely chuffed that you took the time to photograph your collection and show them off. I especially like the look of S. bacularis wow. Thank you for providing the name as its something that might help secure one for myself!
