Young Standard Poodle needs home, location Kansas

I am in Kansas near Kansas City. I just received a call from my
groomer friend who is helping find a home for a very large standard
poodle. The owners have a 6 year old child who has been having 1 -100
grand mal siezures a day and it makes the poodle very anxious and he
jumps on her.

I don't have much info other than that he is very easy to groom and
very nice. I asked about vaccinations and temperment with other dogs
and she thinks he is up to date on everything but not sure. The owner
is going to contact me to surrender him. I am not sure if I will
send him directly into rescue or foster him for our shelter. I am not
a member of any local poodle rescue so I only have a foster for our
shelter.

I will know more if the lady calls me today.

If you know of anyone looking, let me know and I will forward more
info as I get it.

I've never used this website or others like it so don't know if this message will get to you. I used to have a rescue standard poodle, Mara, who died quite suddenly a year ago last September. It was like losing my child, and I'm just now ready to think about getting another standard poodle. Please let me know how I can learn more about this poodle and the procedure for adopting him.
