Nice and warm. Same here in Netherlands.
I would love to see that place for real... simply beautifull.
That is a lot of work you have done, but also a lot to do more if i see it correctly. Keep up the good work. :)
I used the Minfin once. You really need to be carefull in using it as with just a little overdose you can already kill your koi. But it did help.
Just a little misleading title. hahahahaha
If i am correct the Jumbo Champion is 114cm. It really is a huge Chagoi.
Hi. It should be public now.
Here the Jumbo Champion of the Shinkokai 2014 and the Sanke that was talked about on the video of Patrick. The Sanke is 94cm.
WOW. Just read this whole thread. That i missed this one..... A very good looking pond and garden. Very impressive built.
the ZNA America Chapter now also has a page on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/#!/ZNANorthAmericaDistrict
I really like this one. Do you have a time table on when this has to be finished?
I have 2 koi that are 16 years old. They are real muts but were my first koi. So they will die in my pond and not be given away.
HI Cheryl, Haven't been here for a while. The progress you make is not fast but i must say the quality of the work you do is excellent. And thumbs up for your patience.
Condolences to Henks family. He was a fellow Dutchman on this forum. We had some chats on his pond.
didn't know that one. :) There are only a few snakes in Netherlands and only 1 is venomous.
Love to see the pics of your koi. They are looking great.
What kind of snake is on the last picture?
Looking good. Keep the pics coming.
70 micron is really enough. When you go for 40, the water will not become that much clearer but you will use a lot more water as it keeps on cleaning the screen. The clarity of the water using 70 is...
A good choise and well deserved.
Very nice project Patrick. Already saw this one on the belgium forum but it remains a good video to watch.
Looking good Bindi. Keep on posting here... love to see the pics and development.
Everyone in NL who knows you knows that whereever you can you will promote the profidrum filters. I do not have any interests here than to say that there are others as well. I know that the...
Don't know how i could have missed this thread. Very nice to read about the koi breeding down under. Last August i spoke to a few Aussies in Holland when they visited the Holland Koi Show. They also...
Chi chi, In UK you can buy a drumfilter from AEM. These filters are if i am correct sold by A4koi. http://www.a4koi.com/news.php?id=70&page=1
These are very good filters and a lot cheaper than the...
Dropsy a lot of the times is caused by failing kidneys. Giving them a salt bath will help get a balance in fluids but will most of the time not heal the koi. The swelling will disappear but may come...
This was at the Holland Koi Show in 2012. It was very very warm so they needed to cool down. The man on the right is Mr Toen Feyen. He is the driving force behind the show.
You understand correctly. The snow will be the reason that you cannot progress with the build continously
That is going to be a very very nice pond for your koi. Can't wait to see this one finished but most likely it will be next year due to winter.
Nice progress. Won't be that long anymore before winter falls in Poland. Mostly with a lot of snow right?
We can call a doctor but i am afraid there is no cure.. :yahoo:
There is another manufacturer of the RDF filters. These guys started about 2 years ago as hobbyists wanting a RDF that would be alot cheaper but with the same or even better quality as the profidrum...
A quick way of getting rid of the algae is use a pantyhose on the bottomdrain pipe that enters you filtration system. I have had the same issue and got rid of the debri in 2 days. In the meanwhile i...
Wow what a quality these are... I thought the others were already very nice but compared to these the others are indeed mutt... very good results with this last mud pull. Congrats.
Please please please. Don't post anymore pictures here. I am getting too jealous of the people that can be present to help and see the koi in real live. :) :) Really wish i could have been there.
That is going to be a nice place for your koi to swim. You can join them easily.
Can't wait to see the first ones coming out of the pond. will you make sure that the pics you take are of high quality? :)
Ah ok. Beside the shower i would add a moving bed filter. That in combination would create the ideal biological filter. As a UV you could take a amalgane UV lamp. These are very strong and good.
Can't wait to see the progress. Question. What kind of filtration are you going to use?
What a build that is... wow
I can hardly wait to see more pics... :):)
A very very nice project. How far did the work progress sofar? I get the impression that it may already have been finished..... :) :)
Looking very good sofar. This project i sure will keep on following. Really want to see the progress. Where is this being built if i may ask?
You should seriously consider transshipping... I know who you should ship to..:D::D::D::D:<3<3
Could well be Sanke but the Sumi on the head would indicate a Showa. Try looking in its mouth. If there is no black in the mouth than it sure is a Sanke.
A showa's mouth should show black.. that you don't see with a Sanke.. but you are right with this fry it is practically impossible. :):):)
Technically speaking you are wrong. For showa you check on white and red as it is a black koi. (just check inside the mouth).
Wow that is a very nice and quick way of building a pond. Love the finishing touch on it.
That is some good progress i see here. Looking good.
When you first go to the pond returning home from work and do not even pay attention to your wife untill you have checked everything with your koi is ok.
For the ones that happen to be in the Netherlands that time you simply should visit this Koi Show. It is one of the largest shows with around 20 - 25k visitors in 3 days.
