There was one Toncho entered and it won Best in size 5 B class.

There were 176 koi plus 9 longfin koi and 54 Goldfish.

How high is the edge of your pond above the water level? Mine is about 16 inches and I have had a 26 inch Koi jump out for no reason.

I understand why you only need three Koi in your pond. Very wise decision!

What is the volume of your pond and filters?

I have been sitting by the pond, listening to the waterfalls and feeding the fish. I am trying to decide which ones to carry to the Koi show next week.

A good filtration system in a Koi pond will turn the ammonia into nitrites and then then nitrites into nitrates. Low nitrates levels in the pond are harmless but I have read that high nitrates levels...

No matter how great your filtration or water may be in a pond, having too many fish for the system or overfeeding them will have a negative affect on water quality. Gene G

I don't blame you for not showing Koi if the closest shows to you are that far away. I would not show any of mine either! We are fortunate here in Georgia to have five or six Koi shows within 5 to 6...
