Yes there are some lakes down south that are over run with hyacinth. It won't survive winters where I am but they don't make seperate laws for different parts of the state.

I could try the fertilizer tabs but I had replanted one of the lilies in a 50/50 mixture of topsoil and potting soil that I mixed a little osmocote in and it still yellowed and died like the others....
Lillies were my last attempt. I tried a number of marginals when the stock tanks were setup as bog filters. Thalia is the only thing that hasn't yellowed or died, although they aren't thriving either.
I have tried this on bermuda. It burned it but did not kill it. From what I have read it doesn't work for any perinnial weeds since it does not kill the root.
