Your wife did a great job on the folds.
2" 45 degree Dream Ponds TPRs are no longer available. The forming die was destroyed some how and it costs to much to have it re made. So you will only get what's still in stock.
I have one in...
Your not going to find "Long Sweep" sc 40 fittings. Long sweep fittings are DWV, not sc 40. DWV can be either white PVC or black ABS, depending on where you live and what meets code. The west...
Please consider replacing the UV. These have burned the skimmers, decks, and almost houses.
Looks like your off to a good start.
I can't really advise on the walls. It's just kind of a guess. But it will be more stable once water is in.
That 2nd tote might be over kill for bio, and you don't mention anything for...
Hey Jorge. Welcome back.
Looking good Steve.
Looking good Cheryl.
You pretty much nailed it when you said more contact with oxygen. A lot of people shut their showers down in the winter and quit feeding. But sense we don't know where you live I can't advise on...
Looking good Cheryl. Those are some of the nicest corner folds I have ever seen.
Your liner flap, folded over and nailed to the top. Before attaching your cap stone, cut some of that liner...
Really looking good Jeff.
There are probably better designs available now. Remember your filtration does not have to be at the pond, but can be installed at some remote location, like side of garage or something like that.
I am somewhat confused here but I'll try and help.
Because the TPR flanges are way to close to the corners no way could you ever be able to attack multiple layers from the folds to them. The...
I like to use one 2" per S/G filter.
My 16,000 gallon female pond was filtered with 6 S/G filters. BUT also four sieves, one 4 foot set of feather rock showers, and two 55 watt UV's.
Any kind of "dry" media like feather rock in a shower will work better than a wet submerged media.
The only way is to reduce flow or go to courser sand.
This is commonly called a pipe boot. Done all the time.
Looking good Cheryl
No it shouldn't.
And he is HAPPY!
Can't wait the get the Bird Back.
I really like the new GC Tec filters. Give me a call if you want and we can discuss your options.
There are dozen's of people here deserving this award bur one person really comes to mind. He is always here helping people. His ponds are finished, up and running. He could have just kicked back...
No, the 55 gallon barrels work best.
Takes a smaller blower.
Lose less water with flushings.
Multiple small flushes instead of one big one.
I don't see a bottom drain, will you be adding one?
Like Steve said that ought to work just fine.
Looks to me like that is not a standard 55 gallon barrel. Every 55 gallon barrel I have seen has been 22 to 23 inches at the bottom. My air blower manifolds are 21" and fit in a 22" shipping box...
Like Rich said that outer wall needs to come in flush with the face of the skimmer.
Still here with you Steve. Nothing to add but wishing the big girl well.
Anything can be added later as long as you plan for it and leave 3 or so inches after every PVC fitting so it can be cut apart and added on to later.
Looking good John.
I would reccomend the EVO 55 UV. It's a bit over kill for your pond but priced very reasonably. It will handle the flow of your pump, and replacement bulbs are only 40 bucks a pop.
Another good option is the EVO UV.
That will work just fine Jeff.
Following this closely Steve. Wish I had some suggestions but I'm also at a loss. Good luck with her.
Do you have to run both skimmers or can you fill the burn't skimmer with concrete and just run one skimmer?
One Aqua Forte Ultra Sieve 111 can handle both your BDs and skimmer. From that you can use one pump to feed multiple filters, such as S/G filters, Moving bed filters, or bead filter. With the sieve...
The air manifolds I make have 100 3/16th holes in them.
No I don't.
I'm kind of late here so all I can do is agree with all the suggestions. I like 6 feet deep my self.
I have two molds for my Fiberglass shower trays, 30" and 48". My fiberglass shop went out of buisness so I can no longer make shower trays. I have $6000 invested in these two molds. They are to...
Thank you all for your nice thoughts. It's people like you that make it all worth while for me.
We're looking forward to it also.
Thank you Jeff, I really appreciate your comments. Made my day.
