I’m heading back to Korea (south lol) for the entire month of April. I’ll try to find some more interesting bonsai pics to share.

I found some interesting planting’s at the Changgyeonggung greenhouse inside the palace grounds today. The greenhouse was built in 1909, surrounded by an incredible park like garden. Enjoy.
Greenhouse built in 1909 by the Japanese, which explains why there are more Japanese maples in this garden than Korean Maple trees.

Surrounding palace garden. Some of the trees in here are over 400 years old and huge. Many Japanese and Korean maples too, which are bigger than anyone could think. Many of these are at least 200 years old and stunning.
These are massive Chinese birch trees. They were brought from China as tiny seedlings over 100 years ago. The pictures really do not show how big and beautiful theses trees are.
WoW!!! Very nice pictures. The trees are outstanding! The greenhouse is awesome with all of the beautiful specimens. Thank you so much for sharing with us. :)
It must have been nice standing around looking at all the old trees
Lol. One of the few times a year I’m doing absolutely nothing but enjoying the sights. It’s not every day you see trees that are 400 years old. Visiting Korea gives me a lot of ideas for my garden too. I also get to enjoy spring twice, as everything has bloomed over here already. I’ll get back just in time to see spring blooms at home and get to working on the gardening.
I bet i could bore my wife to death wandering around for days looking at all the beauty over there.
