When your new fish arrive, start a new thread and post some pictures with measurements so we can all share and see how each one changes and progresses! And thanks again to Jimfish98 and Frankl for all their hard work to make this a reality!
While one of the main aspects of the growout is size and rate of growth, my selections were also based on choosing patterns that I would be happy with later. In the case of the showa my hope was that all three colors would eventually reach a very pleasing balance. I do not know anything about...

In this opening post I would like to explain why I purchased so many fish. In addition to the reasons posted in the Kohaku thread. I really hope to be able to be able to maintain a journal of the fish (both Kohaku and Showas) their growth and developement. Many times people will post a...
I would like to start by thanking once again Frank, Jim and Purdin. I hope to be able to bring these fish to their full potential, I know the fish will do their part. These will be the first fish that I will be able to judge my skills, knowledge and abilities with as a steward of their charge. ...

At times it may not have gone as smooth as we all would have liked but I wanted to let each of them know how much I appreciate the effort they put in this to make it happen. I think it will be a...
I love showas because, to me, they're a total mystery. So for me, only time will tell... I'll just watch and learn. :D:
