got it last week at nelsons Water gardens in Katy Tx. we thought it was so pretty, but it has a different body shape than our others, but it's really gorgeous.

I had a visit last night by a Raccoon that was apparently fishing in my gold fish pond.

The dogs woke everybody up after being aroused when it stuck its head thru the dog door so I was able to watch it on the security cameras. I don�t have a camera on the pond itself, but I did capture it walking by my patio door from the pond with soaking wet feet.

I don�t know for sure how many it ate if any, but one is slightly injured. Should I do something like add something to the water or will it heal? I imagine it might be eaten on the next visit if it�s a little slower.

Goldfish Spawning?

I had mentioned in another thread that I found some tiny goldfish in plants last fall. They stayed outside all winter in a 100 gal tank. They are very small, maybe 1-2". I just went out and they look like they are spawning. Is this possible? I read that they have to be a year old to breed, but my goodness they are itty bitty!!

Just a curious question.

Now that "goldfish" are starting to show some great colors. Do you prefer to see the goldfish in a Blue "Koi" bowl or a Black viewing bowl?

Just thought I would share...

I went to the local pet store earlier today to pick up some bloodworms and overheard the following conversation:

Customer to sales-assistant: Where can I find goldfish food, please?

Sales-assistant: Do you need it for Comets or Goldfish?

Customer: :think2: Just goldfish :shrug:

Sales-assistant: Oh, that's good! Comets eat a lot and are quite hard to keep!

Customer: :stupid:

I had a hard time not bursting out laughing!! :rofl2:
